The major attractions of Mussoorie, the queen of hills are mentioned below :

Gun hill

The second highest peak of Mussoorie is called Gun Hill. Gunhill have beautifull view of Himalayan ranges like Bunderpunch, Srikantha, Pithwara and Gangotri group etc.From here you can have a birds eye view of town, and panoramic view of Doon Valley and snow peaks of the Himalayas. The major attraction here is the ropeway of 400 meters.

Kempty Fall

It is this a beautiful waterfall which ends in a jade green pool, where tourists can bath. Tourists can bath at the foot of the falls which is refreshing and enjoyable for children and adults . This fall is about 15 kms from the Mussoorie town on the Yamunotri road. It has an altitude of 4500 meters. The waterfall is connected with a ropeway. Take clothes and towel.


Dhanaulti eco park

.It is the main attraction of Dhanaulti. It has deodhar forests and mountain scapes. Mountens will welcome you to this peasefull land, here you can refresh your mind, with the awesome scenerys of the nature. It is situated at an altitude of 2286m, and is known for its quiet environs amidst the alpine forests of Deodar, Rhododendron and Oak.


Lakha Mandal Temple

Its a historical temple where Pandavas are believed to have visited twice during their exile. Linked with the Mahabharata with idols of archaeological importance. Hundreds of objects of archaeological importance are preserved here.


Yamuna Bridge

where river Yamuna flows surrounded by green hills. Ideal spot for fishing and picnic. An annual fishing mela is held every July here. Visit one of the beautiful Garhwal villages on the way to learn about their culture and tradition.


Tibetan Temple

this Buddhist Temple located in happy Valley. It is surrounded by Green Hills. The atmosphere here is serene and peaceful. For meditation people come here. Its a very calm & quite place. you can relax here.


Lal Tibba

the highest point of Mussoorie called Lal Tibba. It has Magnificent view of the Snow clad Himalayas. You can walk around the hill to see old Churches and Houses.



Clouds End

A bifurcation on Sir George Everest House road takes you to this 1838 British Bunglow called Clouds End. Trail to Binog Mountain Qual Sanctuary and Jwalaji Temple starts from here. The resort is surrounded by thick forest, offers a wide variety of flora and fauna besides a view of snow covered Himalayas, and Yamuna river.

Surkhanda Devi

It is a famouse temple of mussoorie. It is at a height of 10,000 ft and getting there involves a Climb of 1 km. This temple is located on a peak. The temple, was built on the site where the head of Shiva's consort fell after it was chopped off to stop Shiva's terrifying dance of death that was shaking the universe to its very core. It is supposed to be a Sidh Peeth.

Mussoorie Jheel

This is a new picnic area. This is an artificial lake where you can enjoy boating in paddle boats, water sports , Paragliding etc...



Sir George Everest House

He was the first Surveyor General of India. Monut Everest, the world highest peak was discovered by him and is therefore called Monut Everest.. This is 6 kms from the town Sir George Everest had his observatory and residence here.


Municipal Garden

This is situated only 4 kms from the main town. The Tibeten Temple is this beautiful Garden abound in beautiful old trees. This is a beautiful garden and picnic spot with an artifical lake in it with boating facilities. On clear days you can see snow capped Himalayas.
